Glucagon-like peptide-1 receptor agonist(GLP-1 RA)인 Ozempic(성분: 세마글루타이드)은 제2형 당뇨병 관리와 비만 치료에서 효과적인 약물로 입증되었다. 그러나 최근 복용자들 사이에서 ‘Ozempic teeth’ 또는 ‘Ozempic mouth’로 불리는 구강 건강 이상 사례가 보고되고 있다. 본 논문은 해당 부작용의 보고 현황, 가능한 기전, 그리고 예방 전략을 고찰한다.
1. 서론(Introduction)
세마글루타이드는 GLP-1 수용체를 활성화해 식욕을 억제하고 위 배출을 지연시키는 작용을 통해 체중 감량과 혈당 조절에 기여한다(1). 하지만 약물 사용이 확산되면서, 예상치 못한 국소 부작용, 특히 치아 및 구강 관련 문제가 보고되고 있다(2).
